OUAN 505-Applied animation 2 brief

-Professional work- this will be shown to people
-topic has social cultural ethical and commercial awareness
-explore and try things out
-full length fully finished piece of work with a start a middle and an end
-documentary animation
-bring an example of a piece of documentary animation that you've seen
-overlap with PPP on exhibition
-project 1-2 mins long including title and credits
-Quality not quantity
-make a poster and marketing material and press pack
-collaborative work but assessed individually
-demonstrate and articulate and evidence all the things you've done and tried and what you've learnt.


Brief 

-work as a team or individually
-or co-operatively - being the director but sharing skills and supporting each other
-broad topic
-food banks, pay as you feel cafes, health concerns of food types, ecological/sustainability concerns with growing and distributing food, healthy eating
-animating real stories, creature comforts, doc-drama, motion graphics, hybrid, funny or serious
-contain the college sting at the start

Pre production

-Present a pitch on 27/02/2015
-concept art, animation tests, research
-get feedback and final negotiation from that
-demonstrate that you have done in depth research-FACT CHECK
-material play
-10 min pitch

-burn stuff before the pitch onto a dvd

Production
-8th may=test screening of animation
-hand out questionare to help finalise it
-explain changes if there are any
-keep blog up to date
-GANTT chart if your working in a team
-animation will be part of the pop up show
-lots of tests


Distribution
-Marketing materials, press pack, poster, 
-logline-short synopsis/discribtion
-storyline (250 words)
-3 images from the animation
-5 images from the process - storyboard, concept art, behind the scenes
-crew director bio
-use this to create DVD box art and dvd screener
-prepare your own questionnaire for pop up show
-what was the message of the animation?
-revisit and edit the film before hand in

deliverables
-final animation  30MB .h264 720p or 1080p
-marketing material- dvd box art, youtube art work, synopsis, press pack
-blog posts
